Synopsis
The Little prince and his companions, the Yomkis, live hidden underground, unknowingly trapped under the control of a robotic mole. But when they catch a glimpse of a bigger world beyond, they make a daring escape, triggering a relentless high-speed chase.
The Little Prince, Yomkis, and the Space Mole is a fast-paced, visually striking adventure about breaking free, discovering the unknown, and the thrill of the journey ahead.
THE TALE OF YOMKIS is a 2D animated short directed and written by Jun Tark. It is currently in production.
The project explores a visual style that blends cultural elements from past and future, integrating fantasy and science fiction influences, combining diverse aesthetics into a cohesive visual language.
My responsibilities include 2D visual design and prop concept design.

The Character Design in The Tale of Yomkis reflects the project’s exploration of aesthetic boundaries, incorporating an experimental approach.
The protagonist takes inspiration from The Little Prince, particularly the iconic cape and color palette from the original novel.
The Yomkis, small creatures named by blending “yeti” and “monkey”,feature monkey-like heads and yeti-inspired bodies, visually connected by capes in unique colors that symbolize their individuality.
The Mole was designed to appear powerful and relentless, yet softened with large, rounded shapes to add complexity.
Human characters represent various adult archetypes, unified through a shared uniform to establish visual cohesion.








The Vehicle Design in The Tale of Yomkis reflects the personality of each character. All the vehicles are based on actual mining cars and drill machines, but blending with the cartoon style and color palettes from the character that's driving it. Each vehicle symbolizes a creature that also fits with the character.
